I appeared on the WeedSmart Podcast with Jess Strauss and Peter Newman. We discussed the present and future of green-on-green weed spot spraying technology, and the new GRDC funded project by the University of Sydney to collate a large open source dataset of weeds and crops from the Australian grains industry.
AutoWeed attended Sydney University’s workshop centred around this project, along with other researchers, technology providers and farmers, to represent the developer’s perspective for how such a dataset could be best implemented and utilised.
Greg Condon from Grassroots Agronomy is also on the podcast speaking to the other quality of research presented from around the world at the conference. Green-on-green technology is right around the corner.
